Edwardian Britain

There are several centenaries occuring at the present
World War One, Women's Institute, Cub Scouts
and of course the Women's Suffrage.
Women in the UK did not have a parliamentary vote until 1918.
Therefore the years running up to this were fraught with battles as women fought for the right to vote.
This film clip tells the story of the campaign to vote by Edwardian women and  many of the photographs are by Christina Broom a pioneering Suffrage Photographer.
