Murmuration of Starlings - Lincolnshire

Hi there I haven't written much lately, but felt I needed to share this.
It has been a very long time since I have seen starlings in such numbers.
The other evening thousands of them appeared over our home
and I took this video from my back door.

Numbers like this is called a 'Murmuration'.

It tends to occur just before they go to roost or when startled by a predator.
The aerial dance of so many birds is amazing,  it is so fluid
and this clip has a wonderful wave in it.

They have come back and performed this dance four nights running and last night we watched them settled in a vast hedge at the back of us and our neighbour. The branches visibly sank with the weight of all these birds. I don't know how long this will continue, but so far it has been amazing watching nature so close up.
